From Boho Suites Denia<\/a> we would like to propose you a visit to celler Les Freses<\/a>. It is a family winery located very close to Denia, specifically in Jesus Pobre.<\/p>\n

The owner is Mara Ba\u00f1\u00f3 who exudes sympathy and good work for all its strains, bet on viticulture by acquiring a farm where in the 70s strawberries were grown, apparently did not work too well, the triumph of Mara was to convert the farm into what today <\/span>know as celler Les Freses<\/a>, giving its name to this wine of Muscat of Alexandria 100%, which have begun to speak the most prestigious sommeliers.<\/p>\n

Cultivation without irrigation<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Mara Ba\u00f1\u00f3 explains that the microclimate created on the northern slope of the Montg\u00f3 Massif natural park<\/a> allows them to grow without irrigation, although the high humidity also leads to the proliferation of pests, so on the advice of biologist Jaume Soler, a strong defender of the Marina muscatell, they decided to grow the vines on trellises, to isolate the plant from the humidity of the soil.<\/p>\n

Since its inception, the winemaker Pablo Calatayud, owner of Celler del Roure<\/a> (Maduresa, Alcusses, Parotet, …) is advising together with his winemaker Paco Sen\u00eds, the adventure undertaken by Mara Ba\u00f1\u00f3 with this white Moscatel. A path also walked together with the wine guru, Tonet Puig<\/a>, who has put all his energy to mature the project.<\/p>\n

A good reflection of the winemaker<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

The time has come to copy the model of foreign tourists, who are looking for the land they visit to consume its wine and gastronomy. This is a lesson that should be learned by the locals, who prefer commercial wines from other DOs to the wines that are produced in the area where we live and generate wealth.
